To improve the human condition by preventing and eliminating refractive errors on a global basis, by positioning refractive surgery as primary care for vision correction.
The World College of Refractive Surgery & Visual Sciences establishes refractive surgery as a specialty. This designation brings together manufacturers, academic institutions, professional societies, NGOs, governments, research organizations, and other entities with clear alignment with the growth of refractive surgery, which we believe enables benefits to all the College’s constituents through the College’s three areas of focus: Accreditation, Certification and Impact.
We further believe the College will amplify our Mission and influence by providing invaluable ties between researchers, clinicians, policymakers, manufacturers, and patients through our efforts in Advocacy, Specialization, and Research.
