Trustees

The WCRS is designed to be a physician-led initiative. The central Board of Directors were selected from the international pool of investor physician Trustees and Founders and few select independent physician or non-physician representatives from the Industry of Refractive Surgery.

Central Policy and Procedures will be carried out working through Committee Chairs and also refined regionally through 6 decentralized Regional Advisory Councils for global initiatives to be sensitive to cross-border regional needs and cultural fluency.

Trustees

The primary role of the Trustees is to ensure that the World College of Refractive Surgery & Visual Sciences stays true to its stated missions and to nominate members to the Board of Directors.

Trustees will be limited in number and will draw from diverse representation, primarily physicians but also including philanthropists and other stakeholders, as selected by the Visionary Committee. Trustees may also use the designation of “Founder” for recognition of their role in establishing the World College of Refractive Surgery & Visual Sciences. The Trustees may decide to limit or expand the number of Trustees at their sole discretion in the future.

Investors participating in the Trustee offering will have de facto supermajority voting rights in the Company due to the number of shares they control.
